The trees

I had a dream last night. In this dream a girl was raped by a cop in a tree house in the middle of a forest. She ran home to tell her parents, but when she got there the cop was at her house, talking to her parents. Her parents thought she was telling a lie, and she started thinking so too. Then the ground started to shake. Outside, all the trees in her yard and in the forest had come uprooted. The trees were yelling and making horrible sounds and swinging their limbs about. The ground still shook as they moved. The girl thought they were coming after her because of her lie. But instead the trees in the yard reached in the house through a window that grew larger, accommodating the branch, and grabbed the cop. The tree opened a cavity in its trunk and swallowed him. In the forest, all the trees ganged up on the tree with the tree house. They smothered it, broke it in half, killed it. Inside was a robot with red lights. Scattered through the forest were robots with green lights.

In the next instant, everything was normal again. The father leaned into his daughters ear and whispered, "The trees have a justice all their own." My brother woke me up.

A common problem with most signatures is, that they are utterly dispensable. This isn't.

You're welcome, but I didn't. I never saw your picture before I found it on my fav list. It was a mistake, sorry. It was a very beautiful portrait though, and I like your poetry.
